| First TransPennine Express offer book ahead reductions

Train operator, First TransPennine Express is holding its own on-line January sale with 25 per cent off the price of advance purchase single tickets across its network. Passengers booking between now and the end of January to make longer distance journeys before the end of February will be able to make substantial savings. To take advantage of the big discount, advance purchase tickets should be booked on-line at www.tpexpress.co.uk. The company says its trains will be less busy during January and February with more than 500,000 seats available at discount fares for off-peak travel. “With a 25 per cent discount, there are some really excellent value fares available for anyone able to plan ahead and be flexible with their travel times,” says Leo Goodwin, commercial director of First TransPennine Express. Tickets are available for travel in First Class and Standard and must be booked by 18.00 on the day before travel, although the earlier bookings are made the better the chance of passengers picking up a bargain.
