Easter 2008 engineering work on SWT - advance information

Over the course of the Easter weekend 2008, Network Rail will be carrying out track renewal work at Clapham Junction. As a result, the following mainline services will be diverted from Good Friday 21 March to Monday 24 March.

Two Weymouth to Waterloo services per hour, two Portsmouth to Waterloo services per hour, and one Exeter/Yeovil to Waterloo service per hour diverted via Chertsey. (Sunday: one Weymouth and one Poole service).

Two Basingstoke/Alton to Waterloo services per hour, two Woking to Waterloo services per hour and two Shepperton to Waterloo services per hour diverted via East Putney. (Sunday: Woking service starts at Guildford; one Kingston via Shepperton and one Twickenham via Kingston). Some of the above will call at additional stations.

Also, reduced services running on the Richmond/Brentford/Staines routes.
The only bus service will be a 10-minute service between Clapham Junction and Wimbledon serving Earlsfield, and on Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Monday between Virginia Water and Weybridge.

Some services will start/terminate at Wimbledon.
