Due to open to the public on 14th March 2008, the new Greenhithe station building is nearly complete. On 9 March 2008 is is seen being passed by the 10.13 Gillingham-Bexleyheath-Charing Cross service, formed by Class 466 'Networker' No. 466026 and 465/0 No 465045. the station is scheduled to have an official opening hosted by Network rail at a later date.
