| Angel Trains appoints Managing Director UK

Angel Trains has appointed Malcolm Brown as Managing Director for its UK activities. Malcolm is currently Deputy Managing Director of Northern Rail. He has worked in a number of marketing roles at Marks and Spencer, James River PLC and Sea Containers/GNER. Malcolm spent five years with National Express Group as Commercial and then Customer Service Director before leaving in 2005 to become Deputy Managing Director for the Serco/NedRail Northern Franchise, a key customer of Angel Trains. In his newly created position of Managing Director UK, Malcolm Brown will be responsible for all commercial activities and maintenance in the UK. He will also join the board of Angel Trains Group Haydn Abbott, Managing Director, Angel Trains Group said: “Malcolm’s background together with his excellent track record in the rail industry will stand us in good stead for the challenges and opportunities we face in our UK business. We look forward to his joining us. “ Malcolm Brown added: “Angel Trains has built up an enviable reputation as one of the leaders in its field. I am excited to be joining the Angel Trains board and helping to build on what the UK side of the company has achieved so far. “ Malcolm will take up his new position with Angel Trains early in January 2008. In another new role, Kevin Tribley, currently UK Commercial Director has been appointed Deputy Managing Director, UK. |
