To celebrate Virgin Trains' involvement as one of the key sponsors of Liverpool's European Capital of Culture Year, television producer and Liverpool '08 ambassador Phil Redmond unveiled a special commemorative graphic on Virgin's 'City of Liverpool' tilting Pendolino train set No. 390031 at Liverpool Lime Street on 7 November 2007.

Following the unveiling, Phil Redmond will issued special Liverpool '08 namebadges to Virgin Trains' staff who are based at Liverpool and Runcorn.
