Northern Rail is offering anyone with a West Yorkshire MetroCard or Metro Concessionary Permit the opportunity to take advantage of great discounts to travel on the Leeds-Settle-Carlisle line, England’s most scenic railway journey.

From Leeds, Bradford Forster Square or any intermediate Metro station on the Airedale Line to anywhere on the Leeds-Settle-Carlisle line, the special offer day return ticket costs just £7. The offer runs from 12 November 2007 until 15 February 2008 inclusive and is valid anytime Monday to Friday.

Additionally, holders of a valid Dales Railcard can take advantage of a £5 return within the validity area of the card from 12 November until the 29 February 2008 including weekends.
