Notable Workings - Tuesday 23 January 2007
* Yesterdays move from laira to Brush with 47714 hauling 43022 did not get any further that Bristol SPM. The move continued this morning.
* 47840 'North Star' operated light from Eastleigh to Southampton Maritime Terminal, it then worked the15.00 Southampton-Coatbridge as far as Crewe for tyre turning.
* The 03.31 East Usk - Hayes had its loco No. 66193 derailed at Hayes blocking the up relief line from around 06.00, Recovery not made until evening.
* Class 442s out running today are 2410, 2412, 2413, 2419.
* Due to rough seas in the west, Level 2 operation (single line working over the up line) was imposed between Dawlish Warren and Teignmouth from 08.30 until 10.45, then again later following signal problems.
