Due to poor weather conditions many services were badly disrupted in Scotland. The overnight sleeper service from Euston to Inverness was dealyed by line obstructions as Stanley and was rescued by IS outbased Class 37 No. 37411. The Edinburgh - Aberdeen sleeper (portion off the Euston) was delayed by some 6.25 hours at Leuchars after hitting fallen trees, rescue was provided by 37422 which was the Aberdeen 'snow' loco |
