Notable Workings - Wednesday 1 November 2006
* Two track machines (a tamper and a stoneblower) collided at Acton Turville, Badminton during the night, four rail staff injured, one remained in hospital mid afternoon. The accident closed the Bristol Parkway - Wootton Bassett section for most of the day. The damaged vehicles had pressure placed on bogie springs which could have 'flown off' without warning. While the vehicles were removed by rail with the aid of EWS and Freightliner traction, a number of houses were evacuated.
* Cotswold No. 47828 to power 12.00 Long Marston to Bescot freight.
* FM Rail 47703 to haul track machine DR80203 from BB Ashford to Fairwater Yard, Taunton.

* MML/VT hire is 43055/081.
* Refurbished Class 456 No. 456002 has been hauled from Alstom Wolverton to Selhurst by Freightliner '47' No. 47841.
* 67027 powered Ermbley - Longsight Desiro delivery move formed of 185146.
* FMRail No. 47712 hauling two barrier cars from Old Oak Common (depart around 18.15) to Plymouth Laira in prep for a move on 2 November to take an HST rake to Derby.
