| The original batch of Class 168 units, operated on Chiltern Railways routes out of Marylebone mainly on 'Clubman' services to Birmingham were the first of the Turbostar range built by Adtranz now Bombardier. The 168/0 sets were built to a slightly different cab end design, as shown here on set No. 168002 at Marylebone stabling point. CJM. |

| The Class 168/1 follow-on order are of the same external appearance to the Class 170 build, shown here on set 168106 at Marylebone. Since introduction a number of follow-on orders for the 168 breed have been placed to strengthen sets as line growth has developed. In mid 2002 a further batch of seven intermediate power cars were assembled at Bombardier Derby. CJM. |
