In original condition with its power collection on an intermediate vehicle, Class AM7 set No. 08s approaches Stratford. At this time the dc set has original white light route indication below the non-driving front window and a dc power jumper cable on the nose end. Livery in green.CJM Collection.



Painted in BR blue and grey livery is set No. 307104, showing the revised front end layout, the space between the two cab windows once carried a route indicator, but after 1970 these were replaced by marker lights. The vehicle leading in this view is the DTBS with its pantograph above the guards van at the far end. CJM



After transfer to Leeds Neville Hill for West Yorkshire PTE services on the Leeds-Doncaster route, sets were repainted into the distinctive WYPTE red and cream livery, as shown here on set No. 307120 parked at Leeds next to blue/grey No. 307118. I this guise front end equipment consists of a route indicator display at the top, main reservoir and brake pipes on the front end together with a multiple control jumper cable and socket. Two sealed beam marker lights and one tail light are supplied. CJM.



After their use had finished as driving cars for Class 307 sets a number of vehicles of the DTC type were rebuilt by Hunslet Barclay of Kilmarnock into Propelling Control Vehicles (PCVs) for Royal Mail train use. The two prototype conversions Nos. 95300/01 were modified at the RTC Derby and are now used for EWS Express operations. No. 95300 is illustrated. CJM
