In as built condition an eight car formation of Class 455/8 stock is seen in blue/grey livery at Clapham Junction. The third vehicle from the front is the power car, identifiably by the large amount of underframe equipment. CJM



A Class 455/7, painted in Network SouthEast livery is seen approaching Surbiton. The former Class 508 TS is the third vehicle from the front, identifiably by its lower roof section. The revised and more pleasing front end style with the rounded roof line improves the general look of the series. CJM



With its former Class 508 TS as the second vehicle, Class 455/7 No. 4734 is seen at Guildford and shows the present SWT livery worn by many class members. Nose end equipment consists of a main reservoir pipe on each side and a control jumper cable/socket. CJM



South West Trains liveried Class 455/9 No. 5903 is seen on the up slow line at East Wimbledon. As can be seen this 20 strong sub class are of the same external profile as the 455/7s but have all vehicles of the same shape. A modified ventilation system is incorporated on this sub-class, identifiably by the roof mounted vents. CJM
