Painted in Network South East livery. Set No. 007 pulls away from Ryde Esplanade and into Esplanade Tunnel, as it heads towards St Johns. In normal operation just two trains work the service between Ryde Pier and Shanklin. CJM
The former steam depot at Ryde St Johns Road was converted into the Island depot for the two fleets of electric stock which has operated the route since 1967. The facility at St Johns can carry out any level of work ranging from daily servicing to major overhauls. Set No. 005 is seen inside the repair shed. CJM
Many people's eyes were turned in 2000 when the Stagecoach-owned Island rail network adopted a new livery theme for its train sets, that of dinosaurs, with each set carrying a dinosaur name in the route display panel. The application of the livery was done at Ryde St Johns depot and used high quality plastic stick on film, applied on a base blue paint. Set No. 006 is seen outside Ryde depot. CJM
