Picture of the Day 1 April 2007 Two 'Footex' specials operated for Doncaster Rovers fans between Doncaster and Cardiff on 1 April 2007. EWS provided the motive power. The first departure at 08.25 was formed of all ex-Virgin Trains Mk2s powered by EWS VIP '67' No. 67029. The train is seen awaiting departure from Doncaster complete with Doncaster Rovers headboard. |

Picture of the Day 2 April 2007 The Bo'ness Railway in Scotland has re-opened for the 2007 season, and LNER D49 class No. 246 'Morayshire' was the duty loco on 1 April 2007. This superbly restored loco is the pride of the lines fleet and a tribute to the railways restoration team. |

This was the last leg of the 9 day tour which was steam hauled except between Bristol-Penzance and from Perth to London. The train is seen at Forteviot just south of Perth. |
