Due to a tree on the line some Eurostar services were diverted by way of the 'Classic' lines in Kent on 14 August 2007. Set No. 373232 passes Pluckley with the diverted 10.10 Waterloo to Paris train. This could be one of the last times the 'classic' route is used by Eurostar stock.

This past week has seen a start of drivers route training for Grand central staff between Sunderland and London Kings Coss using DRS Class 47s and Mk3 stock, as the GC HST sets are yet to be delivered. One seaside railway that is seldom photographed is the 430 yard long Southport Pier Tramway. On 16 August 2007, the UK Loco Ltd built battery-powered tram stands at the Pier Pavilion prior to working the 17.00 trip to the Pier Entrance. The tramway celebrates its 40th anniversary in September.
