As a sort of 50th birthday celebration, Class 09/0 No. 09004 (ex-D3668 of February 1959) has been rescued from relative obscurity by a member of the Swindon & Cricklade Railway. Having arrived at the railway on the previous Saturday, it is here seen at Hayes Knoll on Wednesday 1 July 2009, when it was restarted, ready for any renmedial work to be assessed. It is likely that this will now take priority, in the short-term, over the restoration of No. D3261 from the rotting hulk that was earlier rescued from Brighton.
