It is not only here in the UK in and around Dawlish and Teignmouth in South Devon that rough water can cause trains to be disrupted. The future for 37425 is now an uncertain one, with an N/ONE allocation hanging over it's head. The locomotive has proved a popular performer in the Welsh Valleys over the past few years. It's celebrity repaint into BR Large Logo has certainly helped it's appeal. With 37422 now being repaired for active service at Eastleigh it's not known how long 37425 will survive.

On Friday 13 March 1981, Class 86 No. 86213 was hauled to Burnley when at dusk it was named Lancashire Witch (after the coven witches which used to meet on Pendle Hill near Clitheroe in the 16th and 17th centuries.
