| In its original North British 'as built' condition, No. 10800 painted in BR black with silver bogies is seen outside its builders factory in Glasgow. At the nose end of the loco was a radiator group with side grilles and a roof fan. The power unit bay was towards the centre, with the electrical equipment area just in front of the cab and in the short nose section. CJM Collection. |

| Viewed from its short nose end after rebuild by Brush as an ac traction development loco, No. 10800 is seen painted in mid-green with a BR lion and wheel logo on the side inside the main erecting shop at Brush. Most of the locos sophisticated electronic were housed in the short nose end, and to provide ventilation grilles were added in the top section. CJM Collection. |
