| Preserved No. D821 is seen painted in original green livery style, with small yellow warning end. All members of this fleet were named after Royal Navy ships and land bases, with GW style cast plates carried in the middle of the body. The structural design of the locos with two power units, led to an almost symmetrical design with a central steam heat boiler flanked by the two power units and transmission groups. No. D821 is seen at Exeter. CJM. |
