Class - D2400 See Technical Data

These 10 small 0-6-0 204hp locos were constructed by Andrew Barclay as part of the diverse ordering of diesel shunting traction of the 1950s. These locos entered service between 1956-57 and were used largely in the Lincoln and Boston areas of the former Eastern Region. When first delivered the locos carried black livery and 1948 series numbers, these were later amended to the D24xx series. These locos did not have train braking and were prone to frequent failure. No. D2400 is illustrated. CJM Collection.
