CLASS 302
| These 112 units were constructed for the Tilbury line, they were fitted with 2 digit route indicator boxes when new which were later changed for the four digit display type. A destination indicator was also fitted above front end window height. The first 37 units entered service in 1958-59, with the remaining 75 in 1959-60. Four sets were modified for Royal Mail use in the early 1990s. |
