CLASS 482

Waterloo & City replacement stock, built by ABB Derby as part of the Central Line replacement stock. These eight 2-car sets, which have to operate as four car units were delivered to the refurbished Waterloo-City tube network in mid 1993. The sets are locked on the network and can only be removed by crane. After full conversion work was complete and just prior to privatisation, the BRB sold the Waterloo & City line to London Underground Ltd, who presently operate it as part of the Central Line. The stock was painted from delivery in Network South east blue and silver livery, which it retained today.
