New Station Manager for The Cotswolds

Lynn Edginton, has been appointed as First Great Western’s new Station Manager for the Cotswolds, heading up a newly formed team determined to bring the very best customer service to station-users throughout the area. Having worked as a Station Manager for more than 15 years, Lynn has a strong track record in overseeing the day-to-day running of railway stations. As a First Great Western representative Lynn is also responsible for maintaining a good relationship with the local user group, Cotswold Line Promotions Group, to address concerns from customers and channel communications. Lynn is closely supported by a new team including Service Delivery Managers, Phil Patchitt, Teresa Ceesay and Brendan Tally. The team, based at Gloucester station, is responsible for co-ordinating all areas of operations including managing train dispatch and ticket office sales, as well as customer information systems and safety standards at all 18 stations on the Cotswold line from Cheltenham to Kemble and Evesham to Hanborough. ‘The new team structure aims to improve customer service, community relations and staff communication at every station down the line,’ says Lynn. ‘We’re dedicated to getting out on the station floor, talking to both customers and staff and responding to their needs quickly and effectively.’ First Great Western’s, Head of Stations, Mark Heffernan says: ‘I’m really pleased to welcome the new team on board. Lynn and her team bring with them a wealth of valuable experience that will help them continue to improve customer service at these key stations on the First Great Western network.’ |
