First Capital Connect launches travelcheck service and say "Our customers told us that they want better information on how our trains are running. We listened and are now pleased to announce the launch of the First Capital Connect Travelcheck, which is designed for customers on the move and for anyone who may not have access to the internet".

Current train running information on First Capital Connect services on both the Thameslink and Great Northern routes and a summary of planned engineering work over the next week is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day on 0845 330 3660.

Customers calling this number are given four options:

* Option 1 Thameslink route train running information

* Option 2 Great Northern route train running information

* Option 3 Thameslink route planned engineering work

* Option 4 Great Northern route planned engineering work

Train running information is updated every hour when trains are running normally and whenever new information becomes available at times of service disruption.
