For Fambridge read North Fambridge

North Fambridge Parish Council and National Express Group’s ‘one’ railway, celebrate the new signage at North Fambridge station on 12 July at 14.30.

The station had been named Fambridge for many years, however following consultation with the local authority and local passenger groups, ‘one’ railway has taken the decision to change the name so that it more accurately reflects the community the station serves.

David Winder ‘one’ railway’s Business Director for the Metro and Southend route said:“Changing the name of North Fambridge station means that it more accurately reflects the geographic area in which the station is situated and the community it serves. This change is indicative of ‘one’ railway’s commitment to listening to the wishes of local communities and working with them. It is marvellous to have the North Fambridge Parish Councillors with us to celebrate this milestone.”
