19 – 27 May 2007 is Community Rail Week and in support First
Great Western will be offering half price tickets on all off-peak
travel on the following Devon & Cornwall branch lines:
* Barnstaple – Exeter
* Gunnislake – Plymouth
* Liskeard – Looe
* Par – Newquay
* Penzance – St Ives
* Trur – Falmouth
First Great Western is offering passengers the opportunity to
purchase tickets at 50% off the usual price. The 50% savings can be
made on the branch lines listed on any Cheap Day
ticket. Example savings are listed below for return journey's from
the start to end of each line:
* Penzance - St Ives Cheap Day Return was £3.00 now £1.50
* Gunnislake - Plymouth Cheap Day Return was £4.00 now £2.00
* Barnstaple - Exeter Cheap Day Return was £7.00 now £3.50
* Liskeard - Looe Cheap Day Return was £3.00 now £1.50
* Truro - Falmouth Cheap Day Return was £3.00 now £1.50
* Par - Newquay Cheap Day Return was £3.50 now £1.75
