As part of its re-certification for main line passenger operation, Deltic No. D9000 (55022) will operate a test run on Tuesday 29 August 2006.

The loco will depart from Barrow Hill around 10.00 with a FM Rail Class 47 and Deltic No. 55002, plus a rake of stock. The first port of call is York, where the Class 47 and No. 55022 will be detached, No. 55002 is to be returned to the NRM for display.

D9000 (55022) will then continue from York to Newcastle and back, hauling the coaching stock rake.
