in the future Commenting on the improvements to the on-board catering
offer, Catering Manager, Darren Fennah said: Were always
looking to improve the food and drink we offer to our passengers.
With the increased provision of at-seat trolley services and extension
of the First Class light breakfast service, were able to offer
a wider range of products in a more convenient way to more customers.
We will continue to enhance the catering service and we hope travellers
enjoy the better range and availability of refreshments from the New
Year.
The introduction of 9 upgraded restaurant vehicles and 6 modern one
café bars (or TSOB buffet cars) was part of the £25m
upgrade of Mark 3 carriages and Class 90 locomotives used on the mainline
service, which was completed this year.
