Following last Saturday's fire at Didcot involving the MTU power unit and exhaust system on powercar No. 43176 (the second such fire in three weeks), the power car was inspected at Landore depot and it was agreed that it would return to Brush Traction, Loughborough for repairs and the fitting of a new power unit. No. 43176 was taken by road from Landore to Loughborough on 8 February 2007.
