New ticket machines for Perth and Dunblane

Customers travelling in and out of Perth and Dunblane stations will soon benefit from the installation of new ticket vending machines, following an investment of more than £750,000 by First ScotRail.

Work on installing the ticket vending machines (TVMs), which are convenient, efficient and easy to use, begins this week and is programmed for completion by the end of February.

The machines will provide customers with a quick, simple and convenient means of purchasing tickets prior to travelling as well as offering an alternative option to the ticket office.

These station enhancements are part of First ScotRail’s ongoing programme to improve facilities as well as the overall journey experience for customers. The train operating company has already installed 65 TVMs at stations across Scotland and is currently working on the installation of an additional 50, in a third phase of works.
