Virgin steps in to help out BA passengers caught by proposed strike action

Virgin Trains will allow British Airways' (BA) passengers to travel on its services, without additional charge, if the threatened cabin crew strike takes place next Tuesday, 30 January and Wednesday, 31 January.

Travel will be in First Class accommodation, although it is possible that on certain services we may have to direct passengers to Standard seating.

Passengers must present to Virgin Trains' staff a valid BA domestic ticket or print-out of e-ticket dated for that actual day. They must travel on a route, or part of a route, that corresponds with the journey that would have been made with BA.The arrangement includes those passengers who have a domestic leg on their itinerary as part of an international journey.

Virgin West Coast operates regular services between London, Manchester and Glasgow; Virgin CrossCountry runs between Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh/Glasgow with some services extended to Dundee with one train a
day going through to Aberdeen.
