To provide more seats on some South West Trains Portsmouth line services,
the company will be running some services currently formed of ten
carriage Class 444 Desiros as 12 carriage Class 450 Desiros.
This will provide an extra 142 seats. These changes will take
place gradually as Class 450 stock becomes available. The list
below shows the plan for which peak trains will run as Class 444s
and which will run as Class 450s.
Further changes in Class 444 deployment will take place in early 2007
when the Class 442s are returned to Angel Trains and the '444s' are
needed for the Waterloo-Bournemouth-Weymouth line.
