EWS Construction wagons on track to arrive in Britain

The first set of 68 new high capacity aggregate hopper wagons for EWS Construction is on track to arrive in Britain in the next two weeks.

EWS Construction’s first set of wagons for customer, Tarmac Southern, will be used on services to and from the South East and have started their journey from Romania by rail across Europe.

Nigel Smith, Managing Director of EWS Construction said: “This is a significant investment in wagons for our aggregates customers and I am pleased that the first set will soon be available to serve our customer, Tarmac Southern, for services to and from the South East.This is represents a step change in the product we offer our aggregates customers and all 68 aggregate hopper wagons are expected to arrive in Britain by the end of January.”

The EWS Group has invested in more than 3,000 wagons and 280 locomotives since the company was formed 10 years ago.
