It has now been confirmed that celebrity Class 47 No. 47840 North Star, owned by Porterbrook and presently on hire to Cotswold Rail and at Brush Traction for various repairs, will remain with Cotswold Rail until May 2007 and then be handed to the Diesel & Electric Preservation Group (D&EPG) at Williton on the West Somerset Railway for preservation.
