Chiltern Railways raised £316 for Cancer research

Chiltern Railways doubled their regular coffee sales on trains on 29 September as they carried out the ‘world’s fastest coffee morning on land’ as part of Macmillan’s cancer support charity.

In a bid to raise significant funds for the charity, Chiltern Railways staff wore Macmillan t-shirts and sold a total of 261 coffees coupled with passenger donations.

All proceeds from coffees sold all day from Birmingham Moor Street to London Marylebone have been donated to the cause.

Chiltern Railways Train Host manager Sandra Harper said: ”the response was overwhelming and we would like to take this opportunity to give thanks to our passengers who were so generous on Friday. Passengers who were not wanting coffee still donated £1 to the cause which we thought was fantastic.
