As autumn sets in First ScotRail is offering all passengers aged 55 or over the chance to explore Scotland for just £14 return.

First ScotRail’s ‘Club 55’ is open for travel between 23 October and 8 December inclusive and for the first time is available on every route in Scotland. Tickets are available from 16 October and this special autumn fare presents huge discounts on Saver Return fares, for example:

Glasgow to Aberdeen – save £29
Glasgow to Inverness – save £29.10
Stirling to Aberdeen – save £29
Glasgow to Mallaig – save £28.80
Edinburgh to Aviemore – save £27.70

Club 55 tickets can be booked online as well as purchased from staffed stations, on trains or via First ScotRail Telesales - making it even more convenient for customers to purchase.

Ellie Murphy, head of marketing at First ScotRail, said: “The popularity of Club 55 grows every time we run the promotion, offering tremendous value for money. Last spring more than 20,000 people took advantage of this excellent offer, a huge increase on the previous year and we are confident it will be more successful this time around.”

For added luxury at only £18, the Club 55 Premier ticket allows First Class return travel on routes linking Glasgow and Edinburgh to Aberdeen and between Inverness and Aberdeen.

A further £2 discount is available on both fares for customers who hold a valid Senior Railcard.

Tickets are available for purchase on the day of travel although advance reservations are encouraged.

Tickets are valid for up to one month from date of purchase – although all travel must be completed by 8 December. They are available from any First ScotRail station, on-train, online or First ScotRail telesales by calling 08457 55 00 33 and quoting “Club 55 Offer”.
