New real time customer information systems at Crossmyloof Station

Customers travelling in and out of Crossmyloof Station in Strathclyde are to benefit from new real time Customer Information Systems (CIS) thanks to an investment from First ScotRail.

As part of their ongoing plan to improve station facilities as well as the overall journey experience for customers, First ScotRail has invested £28,000 to install brand new LED CIS at Crossmyloof. The work began on site in August and is programmed to be completed in early September.

The new system will provide customers with up to the minute service information, making for a more seamless and informative journey.

Peter Williams, commercial director at First ScotRail said: "We continually look at ways of how we can improve the services and facilities we provide for customers to further enhance their overall journey experience. The new systems will provide up to the minute service information which we are confident will be a welcome addition."

Heather Battson, Transport Scotland's rail quality improvement manager, said: "The installation of Customer Information Systems at Crossmyloof is the latest set of enhancements which demonstrates our joint commitment to driving up the quality of rail services."
