To mark the entry into service of the 17 extra Class 450 'Desiro' units on South West Trains, set No. 450114 was named 'Fairbridge - Investing in the Future' in a ceremony at London Waterloo on Monday 4 September at 12.30.

The official launch and unveiling was performed by Transport Minister Derek Twigg. After the event, the set formed a special to Basingstoke, where the Minister inspected the SWT 'Desiro' driver training facility.
