Change to FM Rail Shuttles over the Community Railfest weekend 23 and 24 September

FM Rail has advised that the FMR shuttles planned to run from Darlington to Boulby will now run to Redmire on the Wensleydale Railway instead. This is due to uncertainty over paths along the privately owned Boulby branch and an irresistible offer from Wensleydale Railway to run direct from Darlington into Redmire.

As a consequence the two charter trains (one on each day) will now traverse the seldom used section of line between Northallerton and Leeming Bar whilst en-route between Darlington and Redmire.

Expected traction is Class 31s

Provisional timings on Saturday and Sunday are: Dept Darlington 13.15 arriving back 17.35. The return fare is £15 (Junior under 16: £10).

To guarantee places call: Hertfordshire Rail Tours on 01438 718125 between 09.30 and 17.00, Monday to Friday – usual credit/debit cards welcome.
Postal bookings to Hertfordshire Rail Tours, PO Box 350, Welwyn, AL6 0SR

The Blue Pullman excursion from Kings Cross to Darlington and return on Saturday 23rd September is not affected by these changes.
