Print-at-Home tickets to go on trial with Virgin Trains

Print-at-Home tickets to go on trial with Virgin Trains

Virgin Trains is to launch a trial of print-at-home tickets for online customers from Monday 18 September. Print@home, already working well for airlines and cinemas, is a new concept for the rail industry and is set to complement existing ticket issuing systems available to customers.

Two West Coast journeys from London Euston to Birmingham and Manchester will feature in the trial with advance purchase single tickets, which include a seat reservation, priced at £7 and £9 respectively on an
online-only basis.

Customers will be able to buy these tickets via a link on the Virgin Trains website homepage at virgin.com/trains and will need to print them at home before making their booked journeys. The non-exchangeable and non-refundable tickets have been allocated to trains where spare capacity exists.

The print@home trial follows recent enhancements to the website such as a new Careers section, which enables prospective employees to browse and apply for current vacancies online, and a redeveloped Corporate section containing key information about Virgin Trains.
