| SWT timetable changes from 9 December 2007

From 9 December 2007 SWT are making a number of important timetable changes to the timetable, as part of the new franchise, a brief summary of the main changes: Services on the London Waterloo to Southampton and Weymouth route will be revised Monday to Saturday to provide two Waterloo to Weymouth services per hour and one Waterloo to Poole service per hour, by extending existing Waterloo to Poole services to Weymouth, and Waterloo to Southampton services to Poole, with some changes to the stations served. As part of these changes, Brockenhurst to Wareham services will be withdrawn. On Sundays, Waterloo to Bournemouth services will extend to Poole. Existing Romsey to Totton trains will be replaced by a new daily Romsey-Eastleigh-Southampton Airport (Parkway)-Southampton Central-Romsey-Salisbury service, providing additional services between Southampton Central and Salisbury and new links between Eastleigh, Southampton Airport (Parkway) and Salisbury. There will be additional evening services, Monday to Saturday, on Waterloo to Epsom, Reading, Surbiton and Windsor services. Additional Sunday services also on Waterloo to Reading and Waterloo to Kingston via Richmond line and services will also be extended on Sunday beyond Epsom to Dorking and to Guildford via Bookham. The existing Reading, Basingstoke to Brighton through services will be withdrawn, although there will be some additional services operated by both SWT and Southern over parts of the route. |
